Wine Fest volunteers hope to raise $150,000
in 2008! All proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes mission to give every baby a healthy start. After 20 years, Wine Fest has raised over $350,000 and has grown from a small “after hours” party to one of the largest wine events in Kansas City with over 800 guests attending in 2007.
The mission of the March of Dimes
Foundation is to improve the health of babies and prevent birth defects and infant mortality.
The organization supports researchers, volunteers, educators and advocates who work together to give all babies healthier lives.
In 2003, the March of Dimes launched a National Prematurity Campaign to focus attention and resources on the deadly, common and costly problem of premature birth in this country. Since then, significant resources have been expended right here in Kansas and Kansas City on research, education programs, community services and advocacy.
